The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Wisconsin State Fair Park. Volunteers taking the equipment will be located in the north lot on the gravel. Monetary donations will be accepted for Keep Greater Milwaukee Beautiful. Joe Wilson, executive director of the agency, said computers typically contain five to eight pounds of lead. In addition, computers may also contain silver, cadmium, mercury, selenium and chromium. Items accepted for recycling at the event will include: cell phones, computer speakers, external floppy/hard drives, CPUs, LCD displays, monitors, keyboards, mice, laptop computers and other accessories.... | |
